After three months of
missed phone calls and poor scheduling , CASANOVA
NEWS finally managed to conduct a phone interview
with our vice president, Norm Davis, on April
1.
CASANOVA
NEWS: Norm, we all know you've been a
cake decorator for quite a while. Do you
have any role models who helped inspire you to
achieve success?
NORM: Yes. I'd have to say
Martha Stewart has always been a great
inspiration to me. I've always loved the
way she can step all over those she cares about
to accomplish her goals.
C.N.: Interesting. Now, when
you were younger, what type of work did you do.
N.: I was a slum lord.
C.N.: Perhaps I should go further
back than that. When you were a child, what
did you want to be when you grew up??
N.: Taller.
C.N.: Okay. Norm, apart from
cake decorating, what are your other hobbies and
interests?
N.: Well, I'm also a part-time
performer at the Hanger Club, and I spend a good
deal of my time traveling, in order to attend
spelling bees all across the nation.
Oh yeah, and I just got this brand new
tattoo. It's fabulous. The first
person who guesses what it's of and where it's
located gets an autographed copy of Wedding
Cake Ensembles.
C.N.: Speaking of the book, rumor has
it that you stepped down as president of the club
in order to embark on your writing career.
Can't you tell our readers the real reason?
N.: I'd have to say it was because
of the fringe benefits of having Sherry as the
new president.
C.N.: So, now that you've done the
book, what big challenge do you plan to tackle
next?
N.: I've been attending night
school, and I'm working toward my ESL
proficiency.
C.N.: Good for you! So, Norm,
you can tell us, who are some of your biggest
clients?
N.: I'd have to say Mayor Berry's
wife and Monica Lewinsky. Man, you'd be
amazed at how much cake that gal can fit in her
mouth at one time.
C.N.: Finally, do you still enjoy
cake, and if so, what is your favorite kind?
N.: When it comes to cake, I love
'em all, but my favorite has got to be beefcake.
